Healthy Meals & Snacks
Establishing healthy eating habits early in life is vital to maintaining health and well-being throughout life. Our goal is to provide a variety of healthy, fresh and colorful foods that give our children the nutrients they need to feel good and maintain overall health. Starting from our toddler classrooms, we practice Family-Style Dining where children help set and clear the table, serve food to themselves and others and engage in conversation. We believe mealtimes create unique opportunities to build children’s social and self-reliance skills.
We offer three healthy snacks throughout the day and organic milk or other nutritious liquids during lunch. Parents will provide boxed lunches (with cold pack). Please remember that WE ARE A NUT-FREE SCHOOL!
Our number one priority is the safety and security of our children and staff. The school’s health and safety policies and procedures follow the industry’s best practices and are regularly monitored, reviewed and updated. Staff are also rigorously trained.
The following supplement the school’s commitment to health and safety:
- Facility and classroom security cameras
- Keycard-only access
- PIN-protected sign-in and sign-out system
- Backup generator to weather the Pacific Northwest
- Clean, full-service kitchen
- Indoor and cover-shoes policy in infant and waddler classrooms
Around 8% of children and 2% of adults have some kind of food allergy, this occurs when the body’s immune system incorrectly assumes a certain food protein is harmful and attacks it. Common examples of food allergies include reactions to peanuts, gluten and shellfish
Safety is our number one priority
We have incorporated safety measures across all aspects of our operations.
